Anima Anandkumar Named a 2023 Guggenheim Fellow

Anima Anandkumar, Bren Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, has been selected as a 2023 Guggenheim Fellow in the field of computer science. Professor Anandkumar is one of 171 writers, scholars, and artists honored across 48 fields and disciplines. Created in 1925, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has sought since its inception to “further the development of scholars and artists by assisting them to engage in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts, under the freest possible conditions.” [Caltech story]

Anima Anandkumar Named an ACM Fellow

Anima Anandkumar, Bren Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, has been named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) for "contributions to tensor methods for probabilistic models and neural operators." The ACM Fellows program recognizes the top 1% of ACM Members for their outstanding accomplishments in computing and information technology and/or outstanding service to ACM and the larger computing community. Fellows are nominated by their peers, with nominations reviewed by a distinguished selection committee.
