Konstantin Zuev Received 2022-2023 Carver Mead New Adventures Fund

Konstantin Zuev, Teaching Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, is the recipient of the 2022-2023 Carver Mead New Adventures Fund. The Carver Mead New Adventures Fund is an IST initiative created to champion exceptional projects that are at an early a stage of development – too early to attract industry or government support. The Fund embodies Carver’s approaches and practices, with a goal to expand Carver’s daring approach to research and innovation to many areas – and making such funding a permanent feature of the Caltech landscape.

Konstantin Zuev Receives Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers

Konstantin Zuev, Teaching Assistant Professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers. Zuev is a leading researcher in the areas of rare events analysis, network science and quantitative finance. He will join the Institute for Risk and Reliability, Leibniz Universität Hannover, to collaborate with their team on a novel access to reliability analysis by harnessing recent advances in statistical, information and data sciences.

Konstantin Zuev Receives Northrop Grumman Prize for Excellence in Teaching

Konstantin Zuev, Lecturer in Computing and Mathematical Sciences, is the recipient of the 2019 Northrop Grumman Prize for Excellence in Teaching. The Prize is awarded to an EAS professor or lecturer who demonstrates, in the broadest sense, unusual ability, creativity, and innovation in undergraduate and graduate classroom or laboratory teaching. A nomination for Konstantin Zuev read, "It is not just his major contributions in terms of teaching classes and designing new ones that set him apart and make him an ideal candidate for the Northrup Grumman teaching award. It is his rapport with the students, and the passionate love they show for his teaching and his classes."
